I See Stars
I See Stars
I SEE STARS captured the hearts of America's youth in 2010 on Warped Tour and a highly acclaimed run with A Day To Remember, but refusing to rest of their laurels the band quickly went back into the studio to start tracking the long awaited follow-up to their groundbreaking 3D release. That album strayed away from all the musical cliches blending all musical genres to set the bar for a new unique sound. Since there has been a surplus of "electronica/hardcore" music as of late, the pages will be turned once again, and new eyes will be opened, to bands and fans alike. The much anticipated new effort, The End of The World Party, is going to be one of 2011's most talked about albums within the rock genre and perfectly demonstrates the band's impressive depth, maturity and originality.

3D is currently over 30,000 units sold in North America mainly as a direct result of the band's relentless touring that also supported Attack Attack, Forever The Sickest Kids, We The Kids and Emarosa. The group's first headliner with We Came As Romans as direct support selling 500 - 1000 tickets in many markets. I SEE STARS also continues to be one of the top selling bands at retail in Hot Topic.

I SEE STARS is a band made up of lifelong friends and it's that exact dynamic that makes them so entertaining. All members; Devin Oliver (vocals), Andrew Oliver (drums), Brent Allen (guitars) and Jeff Valentine (bass) lived in the same neighborhood as kids. The friendship goes back as far as elementary school. Zach Johnson (keyboards, screaming vocals) later joined in middle school to help the band evolve adding in synth and samples. Jimmy Gregerson (guitars) then completed the six piece group taking Devin off guitar and making him the permanent lead vocalist. Over time as the album 3D was being created people all over the map were already starting to become familiar with the band. Sumerian Records quickly signed the band and released the debut album, 3D, on April 14th, 2009 to rave reviews.

I SEE STARS will be doing their first overseas tour in 2011 with We The Kings in the UK and will also be stopping in Indonesia before performing at the Soundwave Festival in Australia with such genre titans as 30 Seconds To Mars, Iron Maiden, Queens Of The Stone Age and Bring Me The Horizon. Their sophomore record, The End Of The World Party, could possibly be the heaviest pop album yet. This new offering has lots of substance and is very theatric in scope. There is literally something for everyone. The culmination of all this hard work pays off in the spring of 2011 as the band is featured on the Alternative Press tour with Black Veil Bride, D.R.U.G.S and Verse Emerge.

I SEE STARS states: "We are taking I SEE STARS to the next level. This new chapter is bringing mainstream pop to hardcore music alongside build ups that spawn from the core of techno/dub-step/electro music. Catchy and melodic vocals that illustrate a concept that we feel raises the bar. You're going to dance way more, you're going to want to throw your fists way more. When you put those two together, you have a whole different game. We didn't limit ourselves, and teaming up with 3D producer, our buddy Cameron Mizell and a balls to the wall producer like Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack, Asking Alexandria), further proved that the sky is the limit to what we can do. The wait is over, and the end is near"

In 2011, I SEE STARS further cemented their status as visionaries of the genre and gain legions of new diehard followers.
The Acacia Strain
The Acacia Strain
It can be said that some bands truly embody a certain spirit or emotion. Without a doubt, Massachusetts' long running juggernauts, THE ACACIA STRAIN, truly embody anger. And that shows more than ever on their newest full length, "Wormwood." The band's actual sound and vibe are more ferocious than ever on this, their fourth full length for Prosthetic Records and fifth effort overall. Even the successes of their previous full-length, "Continent," which debuted at #2 on Billboard's "Heatseekers" chart in 2008 and their DVD, "The Most Known Unknown," which debuted at #10 on Billboard's Top Video Sales Chart in the February of its release, have not assuaged front man and lyricist Vincent Bennett's turmoil. For "Wormwood," the band returned to the scene of the creation of "Continent;" producer Zeus' of Planet Z Studio in Hadley, MA, who has previously worked with the likes of Hatebreed, The Red Chord, All That Remains and more, engineered, mixed and mastered the slab of vitriol. This time around, we find guitarist, D.L. experimenting with 8 string guitars, adding further depth and low end to the band's already stomach-turning low end sound. "Wormwood" peaked at #67 on the U.S. Billboard charts, signaling metal fans' increasing affinity for the band's sheer musical passion and vicious brand of heaviness. The band appeared on last year's "Cool Tour" with As I Lay Dying, Underoath, Between the Buried And Me, Blessthefall, Architects, Cancer Bats and War of Ages. The band's extensive tour history has them on the road with acts such as Whitechapel, Unearth, Bleeding Through, Killswitch Engage, Despised Icon and August Burns Red. They have also appeared on The Sounds of the Underground Tour and will be a must-see addition to this summer's Vans Warped Tour. THE ACACIA STRAIN were formed in 2002 in Western Massachusetts, and have gone through a variety of line ups, even, at one point having three guitars, but have played in their current incarnation since 2006. That line up consists of vocalist Vincent Bennett, bassist Jack Strong, guitarist Daniel "DL" Laskeiwitz and drummer Kevin Boutot.

Kublai Khan
Energetic, aggressive, and passionate music. A four piece metalcore band based in north Texas. We say whats on our hearts to express how we feel, who we are, what we stand for, and wont stand for, as well as the problems of our generation. In hopes of tapping into the underground and revealing the unseen lives and feelings of the youth in modern American society. We are fighting to make an impact in a music scape bogged down with meaningless lyrics and recycled with mindless music. Trying to push messages that often get overlooked or ignored in the nation today, hoping to use our music as a vessel to relate with people and emit hope.
Downfall
Born in 2011 Downfall is a new name on the Front Range metal scene, but it's creation has been many years in the making. The genesis truly began in 2004 when Bryan Stinson joined the Cheyenne based Imperium as their lead vocalist. Imperium lasted for roughly a year, and released a four song demo. Stinson left the band in early 2006 and was soon followed by the talented lead guitarist Mike Coursey and drummer Jason Sherar, to form This Side Of Dawn. Adam Pryor, who had worked with Stinson on previous projects, completed the band as bassist. This Side Of Dawn completed a demo and played a few live shows before logistical and financial issues brought it to an untimely end. After a short break Stinson and Coursey went on to form the brief but successful Cyrus Caine with Jason and Ryan Mannon (formerly of The Mandrake). Due to creative differences Stinson and Coursey split with the Mannon brothers in late 2008.
After some time off Stinson And Coursey began to work on the studio project that would eventually become Downfall. In early 2011 Adam Pyror was once again tapped to play bass for the yet to be titled 6 song EP. In early Spring Downfall shot and realised it's first video for Harvest the Day. At this time the band had decided to eventually take the studio project to the stage and a search for a drummer began (all drum tracks on the EP were created by Coursey using a drum machine). Caden Montoya was picked in late summer of 2011 to play skins for Downfall. With the EP finally completed and a full live band Downfall is ready to bring it's aggressive yet technical sound to the Front Range and beyond.
In Armistice
Mutrix
In his debut year as an EDM artist, Mutrix, aka James Ruehlmann, has made a solid name for himself - and fast! His productions and remixes have consistently topped the Soundcloud Dubstep charts and been championed by key blogs including Dubstep.net, Fist In The Air and This Song Slaps. His remix of Die Antwoord's "Dis Iz Why I'm Hot" reached Number One overall on Soundcloud in September with over 10,000 downloads in the first days of its release. Since the self release of his debut "Contact" E.P. this May, Mutrix has seen over 600,000 plays and 60,000+ downloads of his music. And every release converts new members to his rabid, fast growing group of fans. Recent official remixes of Borgore's "Decisions" and Krewella's "Killin' It" have put Mutrix firmly on the map with his "Killin' It" remix being the backing track to Krewella's latest video release.

But Mutrix is no stranger to the big stage. The Cincinnati native first entered the music scene straight out of high school as a guitarist in the death metal band At the Throne of Judgment. He toured the US with some of the world's heaviest and most popular metal acts including Whitechapel, The Devil Wears Prada, Born of Osiris, and Winds of Plague. He has a passion for heavy, dark, aggressive music and he brings the intensity of his death metal roots to his electronic productions. Channeling all of the unbridled energy of his heavy metal past into his DJ sets, it would be a challenge to make it through a Mutrix show without headbanging.
