Polyphia
Polyphia
Blending technical, weaving instrumentations with hip-hop, jazz and R&B influenced grooves, Polyphia has created a massively impressive sound that is all their own. At an average age of just 21-years old – Polyphia has established themselves early on as a force to be reckoned with and as a band that holds a truly unimaginable amount of potential.

The Dallas, TX-based instrumental outfit has just re-released their debut full-length, Muse, on Equal Vision Records. The album was originally self-released as an independent artist and is now available as a re-mastered, re-packaged release through the label. The new and improved release also makes Muse available at physical retail locations for the first time. Muse was produced by Nick Sampson [Of Mice & Men, Asking Alexandria] and is also available streaming in full at Polyphia.merchnow.com.

Upon its initial release last September, the full-length self-titled landed on several Billboard Charts including: No. 5 on Internet Albums, No. 6 on Hard Rock Albums, No. 13 on Independent Albums, No. 22 on Top Rock Albums, No. 71 on Top Current Albums, and No. 76 on Top 200.
I The Mighty
I The Mighty
San Francisco’s I the Mighty took a bold step forward creatively with the release of their most recent album Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go (Equal Vision Records). Already one of the most progressive voices in alternative rock, Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go sees the band exploring new territory both sonically and topically. It is a collection of nine artistically mature, meticulously crafted rock anthems that sees lead vocalist, Brent Walsh, tackling the topics that have helped shape his own personal growth since the release of their last album; both in terms of life experience and in regards to more abstract topics. Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go is the sort of adrenaline-fueled, kinetic record that creates the perfect balance between experimentalism and the sort of relatable magnetism that is at the core of all the best rock anthems. It taps into a bigger picture that indicates the band is really starting to scratch the surface of what they’re capable as artists.

Where the Mind Wants to Go / Where You Let it Go was anchored by three diverse singles that explored the complexity of the release. While “Silver Tongues” (featuring Tilian from Dance Gavin Dance) and “Where The Mind Wants To Go” exhibit an elevated take on the brand of rock that the band has built their following on, “Chaos In Motion” sees them dipping into previously uncharted territory with the help of producer Casey Bates (Portugal. The Man) and mix engineer Neal Avron (Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon). The band premiered “Chaos In Motion” via an OCD-trigger video which was picked up by Viral Thread whose post about the track/visual has amassed over 2 million plays.
